“ In their splendour, images effect a very simple communion of souls.”
Since graduating from Brighton University in June 2007 with a B.A (hons) in Art and Design I have continued to work as an independent practitioner. My studio is based in Bexhill on Sea, on the South Coast of England. The studio is my haven of cerebral loveliness and useful intermittently for times of quiescence as well as creativity.
For many years I was a nurse based in hospitals and later became a District Nurse. Throughout this time I was privy to a sea of confidential information and had many responsibilities especially concerning terminally ill and elderly patients. During this time painting became more of a creative outlet than ever, and I had my first solo exhibition in Spain, entitled 'Paradigms.'
Later I attended Hastings College in order to obtain 'Interior Design' qualifications. These qualifications I use to this day and they have proved to be invaluable concerning my installation art. Currently, I am a Director of a caring agency based in New Romney where I have worked for two years. This work keeps me grounded and enables me to utilise my free time more effectively, consequently I am more productive than ever.
Currently I have a solo exhibition of paintings in 'Pasta Pasta' on Hastings seafront that runs until the third week of February 2010.This year I have many group exhibitions also planned. To view these, look under, 'Forthcoming exhibitions.'
